At Aston Academy we are committed to making sure that the things our students do are recognised and they get the praise and rewards they deserve for upholding and demonstrating the school values.

Our praise and rewards policy mean that they have a huge amount of opportunities to be celebrated for the big things and for the small things – sometimes it may be a log on Classcharts or a certificate but other times it could be cinema sessions or end of year trips.

We want to make sure that, whatever their strengths, we are there to celebrate them with you and show that we are proud of what you achieve.

Many of our rewards are given out every day, week, half term, term and year. The below are some examples of the rewards that happen in every year group.

Achievement points

During the day students will get achievement points for a variety of things at the academy such as effort, focus, pride and respect. Over a year these build up and hit certain thresholds and when these are achieved they get prizes!

• 150 Points – Bronze Award
• 300 Points – Silver Award
• 500 Points – Gold Award
• 1000 Points – Platinum Award

If your child hits these targets then not only will they get the relevant certificate to take home and proudly display for all to see but they may also be entitled some of the following rewards:

• Front of queue passes for lunch
• Breakfast Clubs and Pizza Parties
• Cinema Sessions
• Meadowhall and gaming Vouchers
• Tickets to sporting events
• Golden Ticket for the end of year trip
