PSHE Curriculum 2024-25
Students in Years 7-10 have 2 PSHE sessions per week and Y11s have one. While PSHE is not statutory, a good deal of material that we cover at Aston Academy during PSHE sessions is statutorily required as part of Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education.
Over your child's 5 years in school (and beyond if staying to attend our 6th Form provision), our PSHE curriculum will also cover careers, relationships, physical and mental health, money management, safety, British Values, substances, study skills, and current affairs. The plans attached may be perused, therefore, to learn more about what each Year Group will cover during the course of any particular academic year.
*Content may occasionally be subject to change as local or national issues pervade or as general need arises. Please get in touch with our Personal Development Lead at info@astonacademy.org, and marking the email FAO: Mrs. A. Booker.
