Curriculum Intent

Sociology enables our students to think critically about everyday features of society and question 'common sense' assumptions. Our curriculum enables students to understand and apply sociological theories and concepts to help investigate social and sociological problems. Students are able to reflect on different perspectives and arguments using reason and evidence to draw their own conclusions.
